Great post Kirsten! I have the same struggle with Melbourne…and am on your same journey. I’ll pray for you in this day-to-day calling. Lately I’ve been thinking about all our friends and activities we were engaged in before coming to FL…and the image that I had of myself. It doesn’t fit here – and maybe that is one of the things that God is trying to show me – that it’s not really about my image, but His. As I read and pray in the morning I’ve been asking God to show me the beauty here…in nature, in people, in the activities of the day. When I think of heaven and anticipate how perfect it will be, it makes me anxious to use every moment, every experience, every encounter that God puts in front of me as if it were my last chance to give Him glory.
